General clinical and specialist veterinary examinations

In addition to general clinical examination of your pet, our health centre also provides specialist examinations.

Dermatological veterinary examination

Skin is the largest organ of the human body performing many different functions including thermoregulation, immunologic protection, sensory perception, vitamin D production and it generally acts as a protective barrier between the animal and its surroundings so skin conditions are very frequent with dogs and cats. Although the changes on the skins are directly visible, diagnosing skin conditions is not an easy task.

Because of that systematic approach is crucial in order to make a correct diagnosis of skin conditions. If your pet is constantly scratching itself, licking, biting its paws, its hair is dull and there is an intensified hair loss, there are hairless areas on the body or even wounds, it’s time for complete dermatological examination of your pet.

Neurological veterinary examination

Central nervous system diseases in pets are the most difficult to diagnose in an animal health centre. Whether your pets have various «seizures», spine or brain injury, «prolapsed» intervertebral disc, undergo pain and struggle while walking, balance disorders or some other nervous system disorders, experience, knowledge and modern medical veterinary tests enable thorough neurological examination to be conducted, diagnostics of diseases and curing of those states.

Cardiovascular veterinary examination

Cardiovascular diseases are very frequent in dogs and cats and they include all diseases by which heart function decreases or there are changes in the heart structure. There are many factors that impact the development of cardiovascular diseases and they include breed, sex, age and physical fitness of the pet. Owners seldom notice initial symptoms of cardiovascular diseases but through regular examinations we can set suspicion and confirm the problem through further diagnostics and cure it in order for your pet to live a relatively normal life.

Gastroenterology veterinary examination

Gastrointestinal tract in dogs and cats is a frequent target of various viruses and bacteria because our pets are always licking and eating something when we are not watching. The most frequent symptoms related to the gastrointestinal diseases are diarrhoea or vomiting separately and combined.

If you notice that your pet suffers any of the abovementioned symptoms, t is very important to contact your vet and to undergo an examination which can be done at our health centre. It is not always easy to determine what the matter is, but with additional diagnostic such as ultrasound and X-ray it is made easier for us.

Endocrine veterinary examination

Canine and feline endocrinology deals with diagnostic and curing different types of organs producing hormones in the body. The purpose of those organs (glands) in the body of dogs and cats is the production of hormones which they release into circulatory system and send them to the target organs in the body.

Endocrine system regulates and coordinates different bodily functions such as growth, development, blood sugar production and regulation etc. Disorders of hormone secretion can lead to different canine and feline diseases.

Pulmonary veterinary examination

Pulmonology deals with diagnosing and curing respiratory diseases. Leading symptoms related to the respiratory diseases are cough, expectoration and chest pain.

Urologic veterinary evaluation

Prostate diseases are frequent in dogs but they are very seldom in cats. They include benign prostatic hyperplasia, squamous metaplasia, bacterial prostatitis, prostatic abscess, prostatic and paraprostatic cysts and prostatic neoplasia. Clinical signs of prostate diseases are very similar because they all cause the prostate enlargement to some degree and its inflammation.

The most frequent clinical signs include tenesmus, bloody penile discharge regardless of urination, hematuria and recurrent urinary tract infections. In addition to that, non-specific symptoms such as increased bodily temperature, unrest and pain in caudal abdomen are frequently present in animals having bacterial infection and prostatic neoplasia.

Ophthalmologic veterinary examination

Veterinary ophthalmology is a branch of veterinary medicine dealing with anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. Through promoting ophthalmology services in our health centre we want to raise consciousness of owners regarding the importance of eye as an organ and problems related to it.

Though use of contemporary ophthalmic equipment we provide precise diagnostic and curing eye diseases. If your pet hurt its eye do not postpone the visit to the vet take them to ophthalmologic examination.

Veterinary dental exam

Teeth are very important organ in a life of every individual and they are exposed to many unfavorable surrounding mechanic and chemical impact. So you need to keep them healthy in order for your pet to be fed normally when it is old, too. Regular dental check-ups as well as check-ups regarding the mouth cavity of our pets is slowly but surely becoming quite common so more and more owners are bringing their pets to regular dental check-ups to animal health centre. It is crucial to go to regular check-ups.
